Today I’ve received another very meaningful and deeply spiritual gift. The shoes I’m wearing in the picture are hand made by our wonderful team member Don. It’s so symbolic -American and Ukrainian parts of my lives blending closely, supporting and strengthening one another.

Dear Patients,

We are all concerned about the spread of the novel COVID-19 virus. We take your and our safety very seriously and implement various measures for increased infection control in our office.

Our practice follows all the protocols and recommendations by the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention. We always clean and disinfect all surfaces before you enter the examination room – dental chair, all handles, keyboards, lights, etc. We replace all preventive covers between the patients. All dental tools and instruments that ever touch you are either thoroughly cleaned and sterilized (if non-disposable) or are used just for you (if disposable). We use new sets of disposable masks and gloves for each patient.

As extra precaution right now, we extended our infection control measures to all common areas by frequently cleaning door handles, bathroom, and countertops. We also removed magazines from our waiting room.

We rely heavily on your cooperation as well. Please follow these precautions:

Please reschedule your appointment if you feel sick with flu-like symptoms.

If you or someone you are in close contact with have recently traveled to one of the countries with large outbreaks of COVID-19 or if you have been exposed to someone else who was diagnosed with COVID-19 or who was quarantined as a precaution, wait 14 days until you see your dentist to make sure you have not caught the coronavirus.

There is no need to cancel or reschedule your dental appointment if you are healthy.

Christmas is sooo soon 🙈 Finally, we decorated the office and turned on the favorite Christmas radio station from Europe. While our California Christmas is probably never white, with all the rain 🌧 and mist we can call in Silver Christmas. Well, this time of the year is magical regardless!

Looks nice, isn’t it? Another all digital case (like pretty much everything we do), from the beginning to the end made in our office. That’s what I like about digital technology - every step is controlled and executed by the doctor.

Yesterday we went to Bill Wheeler’s memorial. Sadly, I met this incredible man at the end of his life and am just beginning to learn more about his legacy. But it proves again and again what amazing people surround us. People worth learning from and learning about. It leads to new discoveries and opens new interests. Right now, for example, I want to learn more about hippies’ movement. Just yesterday got a new book - “Home free home” about two famous communes that were located here, in Occidental.
