Tip 1️⃣: Prep, prep, prep!! Get your kiddo ready for Trick or Treating! For children with Autism, familiarity is very important. Practice with them beforehand to get them familiar with the idea. This will ensure and promote a comfortable and enjoyable Halloween experience!

Did you know- ABA Strategies💡🧩💜

🌟At Empowering Minds 4 Change, LLC, we are extremely committed and focused on helping individuals reach their full potential through personalized, evidence-based approaches to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). This is something we are VERY passionate abou here at EM4C!!🌟

Two beneficial types of ABA strategies may include:

1️⃣ Discrete Trial Training (DTT) - a structured, one-on-one teaching method.

2️⃣ Natural Environment Training (NET)- NET is a play-based, client-centered approach that takes place in the individual’s natural environment, such as their home, school, or community settings. The goal of NET is to help an individual learn new skills in a more naturalistic and functional way and to generalize these skills to other settings.

🧩 With NET, our trained Behavior Technicians (BTs) work directly 1:1 with clients and their families to identify interests, needs, and goals of their client. This knowledge is used to design fun and engaging activities that incorporate teaching opportunities for the client.

🧠 Utlizing NET helps clients with Autism learn meaningful and functional skills in their day to day lives. We also help them generalize these skills to other settings, such as school, community, and social situations!

✨Say Goodbye to the ABA Waitlist!!✨

A common concern many families face when enrolling in ABA services is the unpredictable waitlist. We know the wait is challenging. Luckily, here at EM4C, there is NO WAITLIST!!

The length of time it takes for services to begin is influenced by multiple factors:

1️⃣ Staffing: A Behavior Technician (BT) is thoroughly and specially trained before entering a client's home. It can take time to find the right fit for each client and BT. Until then the supervisor over your child’s case will provide direct care!

2️⃣ Scheduling: Balancing and coordinating scheduling for families and BTs can be complex! We strive to accommodate everyone to avoid cancellations and ensure we are utilizing the appropriate amount of hours to accommodate the client.

3️⃣ Insurance: ABA services are often covered by insurance, but each plan can be different. It may take time to coordinate services and ensure the proper authorizations are in place.

🌟The goal at EM4C is to have the client staffed at the time we receive insurance approval! We promise that your child's well-being is always our number one priority so often permanent staff may take longer. In these cases, another member of our team will fill in temporarily to ensure your child is receiving at least one session per week!🌟
