A: Technology is effecting every occupation these days. In our office, our computer software (soon to upgrade to AI), digital imaging, and some therapeutic modalities have all been improved and continue to advance with technology. However, the actual chiropractic adjustment has not changed much for over a century. It’s always tough to lose a staff member, especially one that’s been here for 29 years! Today is Lisa’s last day as she transitions into retirement and life as a full time grandma. Hopefully she won’t be a total stranger, as she may be available to fill in on occasion if someone is on vacation. We wish her the best of luck and a happy retirement!

The discs are the shock absorbers of the spine. They are little gel-filled cushions between the vertebrae that also allow movement of the spine. Sometimes these discs can become shifted or compressed by activities such as lifting, bending, running, or even bouncing on a rough boat ride. This can often result in back pain and even sciatica.
