Who says therapy can't be fun? This toddler shopping cart is a great way to add heavy work through play! As little ones push the cart, their muscles and joints get helpful sensory input that supports sensory integration, body awareness, and regulation. Heavy work can help kids feel more calm, organized and confident in their movement.

Pushing, stopping, and loading items also builds strength, balance, coordination, and fine motor skills, all while they think they're just playing!

At Lori Kilpatrick Pediatric Therapy, treatment for torticollis extends beyond the head and neck. We evaluate and address the whole body — including trunk mobility, postural alignment, strength, and symmetrical movement patterns — to support efficient gross motor development.

Through individualized assessment, hands-on intervention, and caregiver education, we help infants build the foundational skills needed for rolling, sitting, crawling, and beyond. Early identification and intervention are key to promoting optimal movement patterns and long-term motor success.
