Another wonderful visit with a Girl Scout troop here at Animal Surgical Center! 💜

Troop 2301 threw their stethoscopes around their necks, put on their white coats, and got to work providing excellent care to their very brave stuffed animal patients.

Led by our LVT Lisa, the girls learned how to perform basic exams, practice bandaging, and talk about what it truly means to care for animals. Thank you for hanging with us, Troop 2301! We loved sharing the world of veterinary medicine with such a lovely group of future animal advocates. 🩺🐶

We are beyond thrilled to see the incredible progress Mootzie has made after her stem cell therapy! 💙

According to her mom, “Just a few short weeks ago this girl could barely stand. Her back leg was mostly paralyzed and her spine had three bulging discs. She was in pain and taking Gabapentin 300mg twice a day. It had been over six months since she could go on a walk…now look at her. Yes, she wobbles and yes, it’s a short walk—but it’s a milestone walk to me…honestly, a miracle walk. Stem cells are a beautiful thing.”

Stories like Mootzie’s remind us just how powerful regenerative medicine can be in helping pets regain the comfort and livelihood they deserve. Thank you for sharing your journey, and thank you to the team at for helping make stories like Mootzie’s possible.

It’s Cuddly Kitten Day, and we certainly have no shortage of that here at Animal Surgical Center. 🐱💛

Our precious Patient of the Month is Tangerine, a 7-month-old kitten from AMA Animal Rescue. This sweet boy came to us with a nasogastric tube in place after several days of vomiting and not eating. The cause was a dangerous one—Tangerine had swallowed string, which led to an intestinal blockage and perforation.

A surgery like this is a big undertaking for such a young kitten, but Tangerine proved he was a little fighter. After several days recovering in the hospital, he slowly began to regain his strength and finally started eating again.

Despite everything he went through, Tangerine remained a total purring machine and graciously accepted all the cuddles we had to give. We are so happy we had the chance to care for this brave little guy.

We’re wishing Tangerine the very best in his continued recovery—and hoping he keeps his paws far away from string from now on! 🍊🐾

Opening this April, we’re excited to launch our new rehabilitation center, allowing us to better support our patients through their healing journeys.

By expanding into rehabilitation, we can provide seamless continuity of care with the surgical team you already know and trust. Our rehab services will support patients in their post-operative recovery, treat orthopedic and soft tissue injuries, and manage chronic pain and mobility challenges so pets can get back to living their best lives.

Services we’ll be offering include:

Our whole team couldn’t keep our paws off Jesse, a rescue from Posh Pets who came to us for her spay procedure. From prepping her for surgery to letting her curl up on our laps while she recovered, Jesse soaked up every bit of love we had to give.

We hope the next arms Jesse runs into are just as warm, welcoming, and loving as she deserves. 💕
