By developing a comprehensive public outreach program through various fund-raisers throughout the year, the NSIF will educate and provide safer equipment and proper training, focusing on the importance of sports safety-specifically as it relates to overuse and trauma injuries.

As more and more children participate in a single sport on a year-round basis, these young athletes are increasingly at risk for overuse injuries. Additionally, concussions have become a major cause for concern among youth sports participants.
