🌟 Developmental Milestone Monday 🌟

Every week brings new moments of discovery, and today we’re celebrating the incredible growth we see in our children.

From the tiniest steps to the biggest breakthroughs, progress shows up in so many beautiful ways. Let’s take a look at 6 months:

-Sits independently for short periods of time
-Passes small objects from one hand to the other
-Initiates sounds and begins experimenting with different noises
-Enjoys interactive games like peek-a-boo
-May begin to show stranger anxiety
-Read books to your child daily to support early language and brain development
-Consider starting a college fund for your child’s future if you haven’t already

🕷️🌿 Tick Bite Prevention Week: How to Remove a Tick 🌿🕷️

Spending time outdoors is great for kids and families—but it’s important to know what to do if you find a tick. Removing a tick the right way and as soon as possible helps reduce the risk of infection.

✅ Steps to safely remove a tick:
• Use fine-tipped tweezers
• Grasp the tick as close to the skin as possible
• Pull upward with steady, even pressure
• Avoid twisting or squeezing the tick
• Clean the bite area with soap and water or rubbing alcohol

After removal, keep an eye on the bite area and watch for symptoms like fever, rash, fatigue, or headache. If you notice concerning symptoms, contact your pediatric provider.
