Chris Cole is a proud West Texan, born and raised in Big Spring. With over 35 years in community banking, he currently serves as President and Chief Operating Officer of SouthWest Bank, where he leads with integrity, vision, and a deep commitment to the people and communities of West Texas.
Chris earned his finance degree from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and is a graduate of the Southwest Graduate School of Banking at SMU. But beyond titles and credentials, what truly defines him is his heart for service.
Throughout his life, Chris has invested not only in business ventures but also in people; mentoring, encouraging, and helping others discover their potential, often beyond what they believed possible. His faith is central to everything he does, guided by the belief that “to whom much is given, much is required.”
This cause is especially close to Chris’s heart. It’s not just another event, it’s personal. That’s why he’s pouring his time, energy, and passion into it. Because when something touches home, it moves you to act. And Chris believes that together, we can make a difference that truly matters.
