So many benefits of Soft Tissue Therapy. Joshua explains tools and techniques to help improve your stretching goals!
Apply pressure:
Use your body weight to apply pressure. You can increase or decrease pressure by leaning more or less onto the roller with your hands and feet.
Roll slowly:
Move your body slowly back and forth along the muscle group. Aim for smooth, controlled movements.
Focus on tender spots: When you find a tender or tight spot, pause and hold the pressure on that area for about 20-30 seconds, or until you feel the muscle begin to relax.
Adjust:
If an area is particularly painful, use less pressure and gradually increase it as the muscle loosens up.
Important considerations
Avoid bony areas:
Never roll directly over bones, joints, or the lower back. Focus only on the soft tissue, such as muscles and fascia.

Don't overdo it:
Limit sessions to 5-20 minutes total and spend no more than 30-60 seconds on any single muscle group. Spending too much time on one spot can cause irritation.
Listen to your body:
Foam rolling should be uncomfortable, but it should not cause sharp or intense pain. If you feel any sharp pain, stop immediately.
Stay consistent:
For best results, incorporate foam rolling regularly, such as at least twice a week or even daily for short sessions.

It can help reduce muscle soreness and inflammation.
Increased mobility:
It can improve your range of motion and flexibility.
Injury prevention:
Regular use can help reduce muscle tension and prevent injuries by preparing muscles for activity.
