When most women start thinking about their birth plan, they’re often focusing on things like where they want to deliver, who they want in the room, and what kind of environment will help them feel calm and supported. 🤰🏻
Those things matter so much! 🤍
But another important piece of preparing for birth is how well your body is able to move, adapt, and work together during the process itself.
Throughout pregnancy, your body is changing constantly. Your pelvis is shifting, your ligaments are softening, and your spine is adapting to support your growing baby. The nervous system is coordinating all of those changes along the way. 💪🏻
Chiropractic care during pregnancy focuses on helping the spine, pelvis, and nervous system stay balanced and functioning well as your body prepares for birth.
Many pregnant women seek chiropractic care to help support things like:
• maintaining balance and mobility in the pelvis
• reducing tension in the lower back, hips, and round ligaments
• improving comfort as the baby grows and posture changes
• supporting better sleep and overall nervous system regulation
There is also research suggesting that women who receive chiropractic care during pregnancy may experience shorter labors and fewer medical interventions during birth. 👏🏻
Every pregnancy and birth story is unique, but helping the body stay balanced, adaptable, and supported can be an incredibly meaningful part of preparing for the big day! 🫶🏼

Many parents have experienced this moment. Your child seemed tired all evening, you start the bedtime routine…and suddenly they’re bouncing off the walls. 🤪
They’re running around, getting extra silly, or talking nonstop right when you expected them to start winding down. In many cases, this burst of energy is actually a sign that the nervous system has become overtired. 😴
When kids go past their natural sleep window, the body may release stress hormones like cortisol to help them push through the fatigue. Instead of looking sleepy, the nervous system temporarily shifts into a more alert state.
It may look something like:
seeming tired earlier…then suddenly wide awake at bedtime
asking for “one more thing” over and over (another book, snack, hug, etc.)
suddenly becoming very playful or chatty right before bed
becoming more emotional or easily frustrated
turning bedtime into a mini gymnastics session - spinning, rolling, or laying upside down on the bed
A full day of sensory input from school, activities, noise, and movement can also make it harder for the nervous system to fully settle at night. 🌙
Chiropractic care helps support a more settled and regulated nervous system, especially after a full day of input. 🤍 As the nervous system becomes more regulated, many families notice smoother bedtime transitions and kids who settle more easily into sleep!

Does your body ever feel like it just won’t fully relax? 😩
Your shoulders stay tight, neck feels stiff, or your muscles feel like they’re bracing for something - even when you’re trying to relax. In many cases, this can reflect how the nervous system is responding to ongoing stress. 👀
The nervous system is designed to help the body stay safe. When the brain perceives stress - whether physical, emotional, or environmental - it can signal certain muscles to stay slightly activated in a protective pattern. 🛡️
Over time, that protective tension can start to feel like your body is always “on guard.”
It can show up as:
• shoulders that feel lifted or tense throughout the day
• muscles that never seem to fully relax
• feeling stiff even without intense physical activity
• difficulty settling or unwinding in the evening
When the nervous system remains in a heightened state for long periods of time, the body can have a harder time shifting into the relaxed, restorative state where recovery and healing happen.
Chiropractic care focuses on supporting the nervous system and helping the body move out of those protective patterns. ✨ As communication between the brain and body improves, many people notice their muscles relaxing more easily and their body feeling less guarded. 👏🏻

Many parents notice that their baby falls asleep peacefully in their arms…but wakes almost immediately once they’re placed in the crib. 🤦🏻 While this can feel frustrating (and exhausting), it’s actually very common in early development.
A baby’s nervous system is still learning how to regulate and settle. Being held provides warmth, movement, and a sense of security that can help the nervous system relax. 💖
When babies are laid down, especially after a stimulating day, their nervous system may have a harder time maintaining that same calm, regulated state.
For some babies, this can look like:
• falling asleep easily when being held or rocked
• waking shortly after being placed in the crib
• needing motion to stay asleep
• settling quickly once they are picked up again
As the nervous system matures, babies gradually become better at transitioning between sleep cycles and settling more independently.
Chiropractic care for infants uses extremely gentle techniques to help relieve tension and support healthy nervous system function. As the nervous system becomes more balanced, many babies are able to settle more comfortably and experience more restful sleep. 💤

It’s World Book Day, which means it’s time to come clean. We all have those "bookish sins" we’re slightly ashamed of. 😅

Check all that apply:

[ ] I have used a receipt, a gum wrapper, or another book as a bookmark.

[ ] I’ve bought a second copy of a book just because the cover was different.

[ ] I’ve stayed up until 3:00 AM because "one more chapter" was a lie.

[ ] My TBR (To-Be-Read) pile has its own zip code.

[ ] I judge books by their covers. (They’re art! How can I not?)

How many did you check? Tell me your biggest bookish confession below! 👇

Your nervous system is involved in every stage of life - from the very beginning all the way through the later years. 🧠⚡️
It helps coordinate movement, regulate healing, manage stress, and keep the body adapting to everything life throws your way. When the nervous system is functioning well, the body is better able to grow, recover, and stay resilient over time.
That’s why chiropractic care can be beneficial for people of all ages!
👶 Babies – Birth and early development place a lot of demand on a baby’s tiny body. Gentle chiropractic care can support feeding, sleep, digestion, and healthy nervous system development as they grow.
🧒 Kids & Teens – Between school, sports, growth spurts, and busy schedules, kids experience constant change. Chiropractic care helps support posture, focus, coordination, immune function, and overall nervous system balance.
🧑 Adults – Work, stress, long hours sitting, and everyday responsibilities can create tension throughout the body. Regular adjustments help support mobility, recovery, sleep, digestion, and energy levels.
👵 Older Adults – Staying active and independent is incredibly important as we age. Chiropractic care supports joint mobility, balance, flexibility, and nervous system function so the body can keep moving well.
Health isn’t just about getting through each stage of life - it’s about supporting the body so it can function well every step of the way.
A well-supported nervous system helps make that possible! 🤍

Sinus pressure, ear fullness, or that “puffy” feeling in your face can sometimes be related to how well your lymphatic system is moving. 🤧
The lymphatic system plays an important role in helping the body move fluid, filter waste, and support immune function. Unlike the circulatory system, which has the heart to keep things moving, the lymphatic system relies on movement, breathing, and nervous system regulation to help fluid circulate efficiently.
When lymphatic flow slows down, people may notice things like:
• sinus pressure or congestion
• a feeling of fullness in the ears
• puffiness around the face or eyes
• increased seasonal sensitivity
The nervous system plays an important role in how well the lymphatic system functions. When the body is stuck in a constant stress state, circulation and fluid movement throughout the body can become less efficient. 😬
Chiropractic care supports the nervous system and helps improve communication between the brain and body, which can help the body regulate many of these processes more effectively.
There are also simple ways to support healthy lymphatic movement in everyday life:
• staying well hydrated
• gentle movement like walking
• deep breathing
• spending time outside and getting fresh air
• light stretching or mobility work
Supporting the nervous system alongside healthy daily habits helps the body move fluid more efficiently and maintain balance across all your systems! 👍🏻

Breastfeeding can sometimes feel like one of those things that everyone assumes will just fall into place. ✨
However…for many moms, the early weeks can involve a lot of questions, adjustments, and moments of wondering why something that seems so natural can still feel challenging. 😥
Sometimes babies struggle to stay latched, feeding positions feel uncomfortable, or both mom and baby seem to get frustrated during feeds.
Breastfeeding actually requires a lot of coordination! A baby’s neck, jaw, tongue, and nervous system all work together during feeding, while moms are often spending long stretches supporting and positioning their baby throughout the day.
When there is tension in the body - for mom or baby - it can sometimes make those moments feel more difficult than they need to be.
Chiropractic care focuses on supporting the nervous system and relieving areas of tension so the body can function more comfortably. When regulation is easier for the nervous system, many families notice feeding becoming smoother and more relaxed for both mom and baby. 👏🏻
Every feeding journey looks a little different, but helping both mom and baby feel more comfortable can make a meaningful difference along the way. 🤱🏻
