*Consumer Spotlight*
Angel has been part of the RTI community for a little over a year, and his journey has been truly inspiring. Living with paraplegia and a traumatic brain injury, Angel came to RTI during a time when he was feeling isolated and struggling with his mental health. After hearing about RTI from a nurse, he decided to check it out—and that decision became a turning point. Through attending activities, meeting new people, and working with one of our Independent Living Specialists, Angel began opening up and experiencing a positive shift in his outlook on life. Grateful for the support he received, Angel chose to give back by volunteering with RTI, where he found a renewed sense of purpose and pride.

As Angel says, “RTI really changed my life. Volunteering here has given me a sense of purpose and pride, and for the first time in a long time, I feel like I belong.”

We want to give a huge shout-out to Angel for all the ways he helps and for bringing a positive attitude every single day—we are so grateful to have him as part of the RTI family.
