So one of the biggest issues I see when sharpening shears for my clients is ... finger sizers! No, finger sizers themselves are not bad, actually they are very good, and a necessary accessory for your shears. But ... you have to take them out once in a while and clean them, and sometimes they just need to be replaced. Not only do they get brittle over time, moisture and other salon products get under them. Then guess what. Mold and rust, that's what! Not only are your shears handles getting ruined by rust, moisture, and acidic salon products, but every time you use them, mold and other gunk gets on your fingers! Is that gross enough? I don't even charge for finger sizers replacements ... and I have bags full of lots of sizes and colors ... seriously, do something special for yourself and your shears.
