It is easy to get caught up in going further, holding longer or striving for the “full” version of a pose. But depth tells us very little about what is actually happening in a nervous system, a joint or a mind. What matters is the quality of your awareness, how honestly you meet your limits and how kindly you respond to them. When we shift the focus from performance to presence, practice becomes less about achieving shapes and more about understanding ourselves. This is where real progress happens.
