‼️Tornado Relief Donations Needed‼️

The Marshallville community is coming together to support citizens who were displaced by the recent tornado. If you would like to help, donations are being collected at the following locations:

📦 Non-Perishable Food Items & Cases of Water

Please bring donations to City Hall

🍽 Prepared Food Donations
Please bring donations to the Marshallville Public Library.

❤️ The Red Cross is also set up at the Library assisting displaced residents and coordinating relief efforts.

Every donation makes a difference for families who have lost so much. Thank you to everyone stepping up to support our neighbors during this difficult time.

🚑 Tentative EMT-Basic Course – Macon County EMS

Macon County EMS is planning to host an EMT-Basic course beginning April 2 through June 30, with classes held Monday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

This course is being offered through grant funding and a minimum of 12 students is required in order for the class to be held. If you have been considering a career in Emergency Medical Services, now is the time to take the first step and help us make this opportunity possible for our community.

The program will provide comprehensive classroom instruction, hands-on skills training, and preparation for National Registry certification.

This is happening everywhere , with low pay being the primary driver. Gov agency just dont want to up pay to recruit new staff or retain current. When you have an agency paying several dollars lower than surrounding agencies with equal or lower call volume people leave.

Macon County EMS has fulltime positions available, pay is unknown at this time. A county pay study was done and pay raises are coming.
