Parenting is a difficult job but one of the greatest blessings in life. π
Babies cry.β¨Toddlers melt down.β¨Kids push back.β¨Teenagers test edges.
None of this means youβre failing β it means theyβre developing exactly the way humans do.
A lot of what we label βdifficultβ is simply growth in motion.β¨
Their nervous systems are practicing.β¨Their emotions are stretching.β¨Their independence is waking up and trying to find its shape.
Our job isnβt to prevent these moments β
we couldnβt, even if we tried.β¨
Our job is to stay steady enough to help them move through them, to notice when the behaviour is part of normal development and when it signals they need more support.
Because healthy children donβt avoid big feelings β they learn, over time and with us beside them, how to navigate them.
So let the noise, the mess, the friction remind you: this is not failure.β¨This is the work of becoming.β¨And youβre doing better than you think. β€οΈ
