Reins of H.O.P.E. offers a unique cutting edge form of mental health services partnering with horses as an experiential form of learning. (Ojai, Ca)

Reins of HOPE is a non-profit organization that offers Equine assisted psychotherapy and learning sessions conducted on the ground. It is based on the relationship one develops with the horse within a 60 minute session. Our fundraiser events' mission is to raise enough money to provide free sessions to veterans, active military, and at-risk youth. We also provide individual, family, groups, businesses, and other organizations the equine psychotherapy sessions on a fee basis. Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning is one of the most effective forms of experiential therapy. So far this year, Reins of HOPE has provided close to 700 equine assisted sessions. We cover Ventura County, Santa Barbara, Solvang, Santa Ynez, and Malibu.

The weather was great and the fundraiser was a beautiful success! We are filled with gratitude for every single person who showed up—our volunteers, board members, staff, supporters, families, friends, and community members. Your presence, your heart, and your dedication made last night possible.

Events like this don’t happen without this community coming together, believing in our mission, and showing up with love and purpose. We truly couldn’t do this without you. Thank you for helping us continue to serve our veterans, first responders, at-risk youth, and all those who find healing through our horses and ranch environment.

It’s been a busy week—but we’re not complaining!
We had the honor of hosting a Men’s Veteran Retreat, creating space for connection, healing, and growth among those who’ve served.
We also launched a new 6-week youth group program, Pathway to Hope, in partnership with the Ventura County Family Justice Center.
We’re all grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside individuals and families on their journey toward hope and healing. Onward!

We had so much fun serving Root Beer Floats at July’s Open Barn that we’re doing it again in August! Please join us this Saturday, August 16 3pm - 5pm at Sage Ranch, 11250 T**a Vista Road, Santa Paula, for Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Floats, Horses, Raffles, meet the Staff and enjoy a demonstration of what we do.
