The Food Service Manager must possess a sincere passion for working with seniors. The Manager will be responsible for the overall food service program including the ordering of food, appropriate stocking of each kitchen and the oversight of meal preparation and service. The Food Service Manager will be asked to cook for special presentations or events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and executes a food service program that satisfies nutritional requirements while creating a pleasant dining experience for residents.
Balances food quality with food cost to achieve desired food cost per day per resident.
Meets quarterly with the consulting dietician to ensure menus meet nutritional standards.
Orders food per the current approved menu cycle.
Receives and organizes food deliveries.
distributes food delivery into each building ensuring each building is appropriately stocked.
Oversees the consistent preparation of food offering training as necessary to team members to ensure a quality product.
Ensures that food temperature and cleaning logs and are accurately completed.
Basic knowledge of public health regulations impacting the food preparation process.
Food Handler Training Certificate or willingness to get certification upon hire. Hi
