5 Dental Hacks Patients Think Are Healthy… But Actually Aren’t 👀🦷
The internet is full of “dental tips,” but not all of them are doing your teeth any favors. Some habits that seem healthy can actually cause damage over time. Check ’em out:
1️⃣ Brushing harder for a better clean
Scrubbing your teeth aggressively can wear down enamel and irritate your gums. A gentle brush with a soft-bristled toothbrush is far better for long-term health.
2️⃣ Using charcoal toothpaste every day
It’s trendy, but many charcoal products are abrasive and can slowly wear away enamel, making teeth more sensitive over time.
3️⃣ Rinsing immediately after brushing
If you rinse right away, you wash away the fluoride from your toothpaste before it has time to strengthen your enamel. Spit, but try not to rinse right away.
4️⃣ Skipping floss because you brush well
Your toothbrush can’t reach between your teeth the way floss can. Those tight spaces are exactly where cavities and gum inflammation often start.
5️⃣ Whitening too often
More whitening doesn’t mean better results. Overdoing it can lead to tooth sensitivity and irritated gums.
Dental health is full of little details, and doing the right things the right way makes all the difference. If you ever have questions about something you’ve seen online, just ask — we’re always happy to help. ❤️✨
