After an amazing student/intern session, I hope everyone is excited for the Bloomberg session at 7 am tomorrow. After one of the most competitive submission years ever, we ended up with these two SISTERS presenting back to back while their mom (also a surgeon) watches from the audience! This brings a whole new meaning to "come for the learning, stay for the family!"

Big Sky has been a Big Hit! The membership meeting will be just as fun-- we would love to see all of you there at 7 am for some exciting updates on the direction of VOS. Today is also ski race day (on the safari trail!) followed by the mountain picnic and the Gretchen Flo Student/Intern award session. Come for the learning, stay for the family.

We started the conference off with a bang! I hope everyone is enjoying their time in beautiful Big Sky. We will see you bright and early at 6:45 am for our past president's breakfast and to kick off another session. Don't forget to grab a bingo card and stroll through the exhibit halls for the chance to win some fun prizes! 5 days until we meet again!!! As we limp through the final work week before the conference (and make our patients limp less!!) I wanted to remind you that we will be having a "Yellowstone" themed banquet this year. Don't forget to pack your favorite boots, denim, hat, vest, canvas, and belt buckle so you can fully immerse yourself into the fun of the gala. I can't wait to see you all there!

Our President, Kristin Kirkby, has started a big project to develop a strategic plan for the VOS. Check out her update in this issue and be on a lookout for a membership survey to fill out for your opportunity to shape the future of VOS.
