Delta Dental of Michigan and the Dental Foundation are offering a new suite of scholarship and loan repayment opportunities for dentists and dental hygienists practicing in Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.

These opportunities include:
• A scholarship program for first-year dental hygiene students (up to $15,000 per year, up to two years).
• A loan repayment program for dental hygienists (up to $5,000 per year, up to three years) who commit to working in nonprofit clinics.
• A loan repayment program for dentists (up to $25,000 per year, up to three years) who commit to working in nonprofit clinics.
• A loan repayment program to support private practice dentists in underserved communities (up to $40,000 per year, up to five years).

Need help with your taxes? A FREE tax return assistance & preparation program begins on January 27 at TCOA.

📝🤔Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) and the AARP Foundation are partnering once again to provide free tax return assistance and preparation through the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program beginning January 27 through April 15, 2026.

The Tax-Aide program is available to anyone, with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 or who have low to moderate income. You do not need to be an AARP member to receive an appointment. Your taxes will be completed and filed at this appointment.

This is a free service provided by AARP Foundation Tax-Aide, no need to be a member, no age limits.

Appointments are required at all locations, please, no walk-ins.

Check out all of our Youth & Family Programs at the Salus Center!

Out & About Families is cancelled for January but will be back Saturday, February 13th from 2-4pm! This monthly social group is for 2SLGBTQIA+ families and allies to play and foster community together. This group will be meeting on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 2-4pm and will alternate between the Salus Center and a community location. Snacks and a kid-friendly activity provided. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Monday, January 19th from 7-8:30pm is QT Parenting Support Group! This peer-led support group offers a supportive space to connect with other 2SLGBTQIA+ parents and caregivers, share experiences, and find community. Meetings are on the 3rd Monday of each month from 7-8:30pm.

The next Youth Social Space is Tuesday, January 20th from 3:30-5:30pm! This group is a space for 2SLGBTQIA+ teens and allies, ages 14-19, to hang out in the center and meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month.

Wednesday, February 4th from 7-8:30pm is the next meeting of the Partners in Transition Support Group. This group offers a place for those who have had a partner come out as transgender and/or nonbinary to seek support for their experience and find strength, understanding, and connection. Meetings are on the first Wednesday of each month 7-8:30pm.

Thursday, January 22nd* from 6-7:30pm is Here for You: Support Group for Important Adults to 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth. HFY meets on the first Thursday of each month* from 6pm-7:30pm at the Salus Center to share the celebrations and challenges we experience showing up and holding space for the q***r kids in our lives. Here for You is for any parent, grandparent, guardian, teacher, mentor, or important adult of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth who is looking for an opportunity to be in conversation and community with others facing similar experiences.

*Note that Here for You was moved to 1/22 for January!
