At Wonderfully Made Therapy, we believe every child is created for a purpose and made in the image of God. We help equip children and families to thrive in their everyday environments. Through play, neuro developmental stimulation, connection, compassion, and a holistic approach, we help children build the skills they need to thrive in their daily life skills!
⭐️Short History of Occupational Therapy:
Occupational Therapy (OT) began in the early 1900s, during a time when doctors and reformers noticed that meaningful activity could help people heal, not just physically, but emotionally and mentally too.
During World War I, OTs helped injured soldiers regain independence through purposeful activities.
In 1917, the National Society for the Promotion of Occupational Therapy was founded in the U.S. — now known as the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
Since then, OT has grown into a holistic profession that helps people of all ages live life to the fullest — supporting everything from daily living skills and mental health to sensory processing and rehabilitation.
Thankful WMT gets to provide Occupational Therapy Services in our clinc, local schools and homes in Oklahoma.
