It is Member Monday and today we are celebrating Grant🙌🏼

Grant is Wings biggest prankster and if you have spent any time at Wings there is a good chance he has told you there is a chicken a snake or even a bee behind you just to get a laugh! He loves a good fake out and keeps everyone on their toes!

Beyond the jokes Grant is incredibly thoughtful and intentional. He asks great questions and truly cares about what is going on in his friend’s lives which makes him such a meaningful part of our community.

Grant also loves all things spooky especially Dracula and enjoys spending time playing computer games outside of Wings.

Our community is brighter more joyful and definitely funnier because of Grant!🩵

This week in Safe & Sound, our Members have been learning all about first aid and this week they put those skills into action by creating their very own first aid kits 🩹

Meet Ashley!

Ashley’s favorite program at Wings is Spreading Our Wings, where she gets to do what she loves most, helping others out in the community. Her heart for serving truly shines, and it is no surprise that her favorite thing about herself is her desire to help people.

When she is not at Wings, Ashley stays busy. She loves line dancing, watching movies, attending meetings with her Aktion Club, and singing in choir. She is always on the go and brings her bright, cheerful energy wherever she goes.

Ashley is truly a joy to be around, and we are so lucky to have her as part of our Wings community!🩵

Meet Shawn! One of our incredible volunteers, he has been with us for almost a year and has become a consistent and supportive presence for our Members in the performing arts program. He learns the routines alongside them, helps with showcases, and always brings a genuine excitement to be here.

Shawn was introduced to Wings through his sister in law, who had special needs and was part of the Wings community through Social Club and other gatherings. Although she has since passed away, Shawn continues to honor her life and legacy through his service, showing up for each Member with the same care, respect, and joy he shared with her.

We love to see our Members shine bright and couldn’t imagine that happening without Shawn in their corner cheering them on!
