Parenting Tip: Dysregulated parents raise dysregulated children! Yelling triggers the body’s “fight or flight” response which disrupts the natural balance of the nervous system. This leads to undesirable and often unmanageable behavior. Children cannot out-regulate parents emotionally. Healthy parenting starts with self-regulation.
