Chance Tuttle was appointed Director of the Oklahoma First Responder Wellness Division by Commissioner of Public Safety, Tim Tipton, on October 19, 2025.
Tuttle is a graduate of the 60th Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy and began his career serving in the Tulsa Metro. Over the course of his service with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, he spent over a decade as a member of the OHP Tactical Team and holds multiple instructional certifications, including Fi****ms, Health and Wellness, Night Vision, and Breaching. He has served in the Wellness Division for several years and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Law Enforcement Retirement System and is the executive director for the Bench Foundation.
Throughout his career, Tuttle has been involved in hundreds of tactical operations, experiencing many complex and high-risk situations. His experience has provided him with an understanding of the physical and psychological demands placed on first responders. He remains dedicated in his mission to advance comprehensive wellness initiatives and to promote resilience, recovery, and mental health support for Oklahomaâs first responder community.
