🎙️ Have you listened to Episode 60?

This week, we’re joined by Dr. Russell Evans, Dean of the UCO College of Business, for a thoughtful and down‑to‑earth conversation about community, leadership, and the reality of long‑term care across Oklahoma.

Dr. Evans shares what “aging in place” truly means for small communities, the deep relationships that shape rural care, and the challenges facilities face when improvements are needed. We also dive into leadership—accountability with compassion, lessons learned, and the wisdom he wishes he could pass on to his younger self.

It’s a grounded, heartfelt discussion that blends professional insight with personal reflection from start to finish.

Oklahoma’s Voice for Longterm Care

Care Providers Oklahoma, previously the Oklahoma Association of Health Care Providers OAHCP, represents the interests of more than 18,000 residents and 19,000 professionals that work in Oklahoma’s long-term care facilities, including nursing homes, assisted living homes and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The mission of Care Providers Oklahoma is to assist its members in providing the highest quality care to the seniors, individuals with disabilities and vulnerable Oklahomans who live in our facilities. We advocate for the enhancement of that care so that Oklahoma long-term care residents may live in the comfort and dignity they deserve.
