This is wild. According to some weather data (this blends a bunch of model data together), Oklahoma may be the wettest place in the nation during the 1st 10 days of June.

While rain is likely for much of America, the highest values for rain are centered over a good portion of Oklahoma. The 2nd wettest place in the nation,South Florida.

When you're surpassing Florida in rain, you know that's a big deal !

Why should you scalp your Bermuda grass?

Scalping Bermuda grass is a common practice that helps maintain a healthy, dense lawn. Here’s why you should do it:
1. Promotes Early Green-Up – Scalping removes the dormant, brown grass from winter, allowing sunlight to warm the soil faster and encouraging new growth earlier in the season.
2. Reduces Thatch Buildup – Cutting the grass very short helps remove excessive thatch, which can prevent water, nutrients, and oxygen from reaching the roots.
3. Encourages Stronger Growth – By removing dead material, Bermuda grass can focus its energy on producing fresh, healthy shoots, leading to a thicker, more vibrant lawn.
4. Prevents Disease and Pests – Old, dead grass can harbor pests and fungal diseases. Scalping clears out this debris and reduces potential problems.
5. Improves Overseeding Success – If you plan to overseed, scalping helps seeds reach the soil for better germination.
6. Enhances Lawn Appearance – A properly scalped Bermuda lawn will grow back more evenly and lush, preventing patchy, weak areas.

When to Scalp:
