Our son Max “Ryker “ has suffered a subdural hematoma (brain bleed) and an associated stroke. They performed an emergency brain surgery (Craniotomy) removing a large portion of his skull to reduce the swelling and save his life. He had an ATV accident in March resulting in a fractured skull and small brain bleed and a bruise. We believe this latest life threatening event is most likely related to the prior brain injury.
My wife and I have been living at the hospital for last 2 weeks as we navigate this trail and watch God work. Progress is being made and we are witnessing miracles daily. Gratitude to God for his healing and the overwhelming outpouring of love, prayer and support we have received. I am humbled and so proud that my son is loved by so many. His community has gathered around him in an extraordinary way. He has been blessed by multiple visitors a day laying hands and praying. People have been rallying behind us with support to care for our 6 month old daughter, Charlotte, checking in on us, sending encouragement, providing meals and finances.
We are asking you to please pray for total healing, for the peace that passes all understanding, and for provision. Please pray for clarity as we make desisions for his care. Prayer is the most valuable thing anyone can do to help as we believe whole heartedly in the power of prayer and the resurrection power of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
He is making HUGE strides but we have a very long row to hoe. The next big hurdle is choosing where he will go for inpatient rehab. We are considering options out of state and locally.
