In the last few weeks, Gov. Kevin Stitt approved OMMA emergency rule updates tied to Senate Bill 1939 and House Bill 3361.

These changes include:
• Updated application requirements
• License transfer process updates (SB 1939)
• Pre-packaging rules taking effect June 1, 2025 (HB 3361)

As of Nov. 1, Senate Bill 1939 has updated the renewal timeline for commercial licenses.

Licensees with expiration dates between Nov. 1, 2024, and March 1, 2025, get a 120-day grace period, renewing under the current OMMA process. Make sure to submit renewals before your expiration date to stay on time. Licensees with expiration dates after March 1, 2025, will follow the new renewal requirements.
