OCPD -vs- BLACK LABEL ARMAMENT.
On Thursday, January 8th, 2026 we raised our back overhead door to test fire a project inside our facility, as we have done so many times in the past. Safely in the course of business.
Sometimes that door remains closed, but in the case of a shotgun, the internal blast and sand and smoke can become a little much. So the door was open.
When the OCPD arrived (as they have in the past) a worker went forward and immediately informed the officers that “it was us, we made the noise”. Again… as we had done countless times in the past. To our amazement, one of the two responding officers did not care. Not even a little. He demanded to see the firearm and the device we fired it into. Then explained the law(s) “he believes” we had broken. He threatened us with his “Lieutenant”. He even told us the audible report was heard as far as 23rd St. We didn’t agree, he immediately retracted that claim. He threatened us with more.
We are a business that has worked with that department countless times. A business that has paid its taxes on time. A business that is participating in the second amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Licensed and legal.
The officer didn’t believe us. He staged his vehicle on the side of our building. We knew this and let him know that we would be re-testing that same shotgun.
Instead, we did not go through with that test. He pulled his vehicle up to our open, overhead door and told that worker to “disarm” himself for the “officers safely”. Again, this business had provide services for countless state, federal, county and municipal LE departments. But, f*ck us. We are the enemy now. We are the criminals according to this OCPD officer. We are on NW 10th Street in Oklahoma City.
I imagine Black Label Armament is NOT your problem.
Thank you Oklahoma City Police Department for turning us into your enemy. Alienating us and treating us like criminals simply by safely and effectively providing legal services to law abiding citizens in this community.
We know where we stand now and you put us here.
