☀️ Tips for Keeping Kids Safe in Extreme Heat ☀️

With temperatures soaring, it's crucial to protect our little ones from heat-related illnesses.

💧 Hydration is Key
Encourage frequent water breaks—even if they’re not thirsty.

🧢 Dress Smart
Light-colored, loose-fitting clothing made of breathable fabrics like cotton helps kids stay cool. Don’t forget a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses and sunscreen!

🏡 Stay Indoors During Peak Hours
Limit outdoor play between 10 AM and 4 PM. If outside, find shaded areas or use a sun umbrella.

🚗 Never Leave Kids in Cars
Even for a minute. Temperatures can rise dangerously fast—even with windows cracked.

🌡️ Know the Signs of Heat Illness
Look out for: fatigue, dizziness, nausea/vomiting, confusion, lack of coordination, fever, breathing faster, headache, skin numbness/tingling, muscle aches/spasms.
