🌼✨ Congratulations to our DAISY Award Honoree, Danielle Williams, RN! ✨🌼

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses is a national recognition program that honors the skillful, compassionate care nurses provide every day. At OCOM, we are proud to celebrate our nurses who go above and beyond for their patients, their families, and their colleagues.

This season, that honor goes to Danielle Williams in Pre-Op! Danielle was nominated multiple times by patients who praised her compassion, kindness, and ability to turn a stressful situation into one filled with comfort and care.

Meet Dennis, Manager of our Sterile Processing Department at both campuses and our Unsung Hero of August! Known for always being a few steps ahead, Dennis goes wherever he’s needed — from supporting surgery to helping with lunches. Under his leadership, SPD has become a model of reliability and quality. His favorite part of OCOM? “The people. We have a wonderful sense of community.” When he’s not at work, you’ll find him hiking, kayaking, or exploring off-the-beaten-path places. The OKC County Health Department's OKC Mobile Market is bringing free fresh produce and pet food to various locations around the metro — and everyone is welcome!

📅 Events happen on the 1st–4th Fridays and the last Saturday of every month at rotating locations including libraries, clinics, and churches across the OKC area.

Meet Lily—our go-to helping hand in the OR and our Unsung Hero for July! Known for her kindness, dedication, and willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed, Lily brings warmth (and often a warm blanket!) to everyone she works with. Her coworkers describe her as a “jack of all trades” whose attitude lights up the department.

When asked what inspires her, Lily said, “My passion for helping others and the supportive environment at work inspire me to bring my best self every day.”
