2021 EP Committee Member Accomplishments:

Jannette Tapia, MHR, our Director-at-Large, was promoted to Senior HR Business Partner at Integris Health, became a Court Appointed Special Advocate and began work advocating for children, traveled to Mexico and Colorado, lead the Emerging Professionals team, and as a team increased the membership and social media followers by 20+%!! In 2022 Jannette will stay on the OCHRS Board of Directors to be the Director-at-Large for Government Affairs.

Thank you so much for all your hard work and for leading us this year, Jannette! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next year

2021 EP Committee Member Accomplishments:

Jessica Pozo, our Programs Chair, served her 2nd year on the Emerging Professionals committee this year, traveled to 3 different countries (including Mexico, Dubai, and Egypt) along with domestic US traveling, she moved into a new home, and lastly, she started a new job as an International Sales and Marketing Rep with American Fidelity!

Thank you so much for your time on the Emerging Professionals Committee, Jessica! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next year.

2021 EP Committee Member Accomplishments:

Juliette Souders, our Social Media Chair, received January Employee of the Month at her previous company, in May she started a new job as the HR Coordinator for Hartwig Staffing, stage-managed the musical "The Wonderettes" this past summer at Shawnee Little Theatre, received the Emerging Leader award from the Oklahoma City Human Resource Society and will be the Director at Large to the Emerging Professionals committee in 2022!

We are so excited to see all that you accomplish next year, especially with the Emerging Professionals committee!

2021 EP Committee Member Accomplishments:

Lorenzo Brown, our Sponsorship Chair, learned more about the recruiting and credentialing side of Human Resources in the mental health industry. He was promoted in November and starting in January will be the HR Training Coordinator at Red Rock BHS where he will lead orientation and train employees on CPR and therapeutic options!! Lorenzo also graduated with his Master of Arts in Human Resource Studies a few days ago on December 17th and this next year he plans to study and prepare for the SHRM-CP exam. He has grown his network exponentially this year and is so excited to continue as the Sponsorship Chair for OCHRS-EP in 2022!

Way to go, Lorenzo! We can wait to see all the wonderful things you accomplish in 2022.

2021 EP Committee Member Accomplishments:

Kyra Pope, our Membership Chair, started a new job as an HR manager this year (she found out about the position because of the Emerging Professionals group!), once at the company she built and implemented an employee engagement, talent acquisition, and professional development program! Kyra also helped grow the Emerging Professionals group by 20%, married her husband Noah, and added two new members to her family, Nugget and Raven! Lastly, she just recently earned her SHRM-CP certification (way to go!!) and will be the VP of Membership for the Oklahoma City Human Resource Society in 2022.

Thank you so much for your time on the Emerging Professionals Committee, Kyra! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next year.

2021 EP Committee Member Accomplishments:

Kaitlynn Menke, our Member-At-Large, completed her Masters in Organizational Leadership, started studying for her SHRM Certification, and is now DiSC (A behavioral self-assessment test) certified - this means she can now lead a DiSC workshop for any group or business! Also this year, Kaitlynn got engaged and is currently planning her wedding, and got to travel to Saint Lucia and Costa Rica!

We can't believe that 2021 is almost over! This means that in just a few short weeks we will have a whole new group of people that will be leading the 2022 Emerging Professionals Committee.

To close out the year, we thought it would be wonderful to highlight what our 2021 EP Committee Members accomplished this year!

First up is Cecely Jones, our Special Projects Chair!! This year she was promoted to a Business Development Manager at Hartwig Staffing and leads a team of 3+ people now. Also, at Hartwig Staffing she received an award for GRIT (given to those who never give up). Cecely also served on an Executive Board for the Techlahoma Technology Group in Oklahoma, and would often be a monthly speaker for their webinars on the subjects of searching for a job in tech! And to save the best for last, Cecely will be the VP of Social Media / Communications on the 2022 OCHRS Board!

Thank you so much for your time on the Emerging Professionals Committee, Cecely! We can't wait to see what you accomplish next year.
