Residents have learned about Oklahoma inventions, state symbols, and many more fun facts in celebration of Oklahoma Statehood day.
An Oklahoma-inspired art class featured pictures of mistletoe and the Oklahoma rose, which are both symbols of Oklahoma.
Mistletoe was designated as the state flower in 1893 and was the first ever official floral emblem established by any legislature.
In 2004 the Oklahoma Rose replaced Mistletoe as the state flower.
