This origin story is a love story. We were healthcare professionals who lived in two different cities....until I (Dena) almost died and he (AJ) saved my life. In the days following this event, we realized how important we were to each other.
He worked twelve-hour hospital shifts in the Emergency Room each day and then drove two hours each way in a rare Oklahoma ice storm to sit by my bedside in the hospital.
I recovered. Convinced stress played a part in my illness; I set out on a long journey to learn ways to manage stress to keep my demanding career, my health, and my sanity. At a loss with traditional methods, I turned to folk healing arts and energy work that I had dabbled in during the 20 years before my aneurysm --this time with a renewed sense of focus.
A profound and fast shift took place in me. I felt more at peace, even when I would have been totally stressed out before. Not only that--I began to enjoy the mundane parts of life.Where I might have been bored before.
A new appreciation for holistic healing arts and a desire to learn more emerged within me. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn. I immersed myself in every opportunity--near and far. I've studied under amazing healers from around the world, once dragging my family deep into the jungles of Guatemala. There have also been some great teachers right here in the middle of Oklahoma.
What I learned in my journey in that soul centered healing is the common thread for all healing lies in a bit of love, a bit luck, a dash science and the magic of faith.
The name Angels & Sages comes from this realization.
FOUNDER & CEO:
Dena Bradford worked for many years as a healthcare executive before finding more balance in life after surviving a ruptured brain aneurysm. All signs pointed to stress as a major factor and through holistic healing arts she quickly found a new normal and a more balanced approach to life. Dena still runs high profile medical spas, and clinics; runs with her spouse behind children and always races towards her passions...with a certain amount of balance in each moment.
Dena's company, Angels & Sages, is focused on helping you find inner peace while supporting your spiritual journey.
Dena holds advanced degrees in Healthcare Administration, Health and Human Services as well as credentials in Herbalism, Shamanism, Reiki and Meditation Instruction.
