Therese St. James is the driving force behind our sterile processing department at CHN. As manager, she not only ensures her department runs seamlessly, but she also goes the extra mile to keep our operating rooms running smoothly.

Therese takes it upon herself to contact vendors in advance so all surgical sets are in-house and ready the day before procedures. She personally checks in with surgeons and surgical teams, quickly addressing any issues to keep the day on track. Even after her shift ends, she often stays late to ensure every detail is handled and her managerial duties are complete.

Thank you, Therese, for your commitment, teamwork, and unwavering focus on excellence. You make a difference every single day.

When it comes to sepsis, every minute counts. Knowing the signs can help protect you and your loved ones.

Remember T.I.M.E.:
Temperature – higher or lower than normal
Infection – possible or confirmed
Mental decline – confusion, sleepiness, hard to wake
Extremely ill – severe discomfort, feeling like you might die
If you notice these symptoms, seek emergency care immediately.

Your gut health plays a big role in how you feel each day, from enjoying meals with family to having the energy to live life fully. At Community Hospital, our gastroenterology team is here to provide screenings that offer peace of mind, early answers, and long-term protection for your health. Two of the most common tests our specialists perform include:
Colonoscopy – More than detecting cancer, a colonoscopy helps prevent it. By finding and removing polyps before they turn cancerous, it stops cancer from developing. It also helps diagnose other GI issues like changes in bowel habits or bleeding.
Endoscopy (Upper GI Endoscopy or EGD) – This test gives doctors a closer look at your esophagus, stomach, and small intestine to help uncover causes of symptoms like reflux or pain. With clear answers, you can move forward with confidence and relief.
Taking care of your gut health is not only about treatment. It is also about prevention, reassurance, and enjoying more of life without worry.
