A few of our staff members and former patients gathered to spread holiday cheer and serve dinner at Hope Lodge last week! They took armfuls of donations and gave their time to be a source of encouragement to the patients who are away from home during this holiday season and utilizing the Hope Lodge for accommodations during their cancer treatments in OKC. Thank you to these awesome volunteers! If you want to learn more about Hope Lodge, check out the link below:

A groundbreaking study published in The Lancet confirms what we see every day at Oklahoma Proton Center: precision matters in cancer care.

In the largest randomized Phase III trial of its kind, patients with head and neck cancer treated with proton therapy experienced:

• A 10% improvement in overall survival
• Better quality of life, including improved swallowing, reduced feeding tube dependence, and fewer treatment-related side effects

This rare combination of improved survival and reduced toxicity reinforces the importance of access to advanced, evidence-based cancer care.
