Nutrition is for Everyone - Oklahoma Providing nutrition education for and with people with disabilities, their families and friends and advocating for inclusive community nutrition efforts.

Nutrition is for Everyone is a 1-year pilot project through the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) and the Center for Learning and Leadership that will provide direct nutrition education for an estimated 4,000 people in the disability community across Oklahoma. Nutrition is for Everyone aims to increase fruit and vegetable intake, increase the number of meals prepared and consumed at home, decreased obesity rates in people with disabilities and create a network of nutrition advocates and educators to increase healthy eating for people with disabilities. This project is funded through the Walmart Foundation.

For the tenth year, Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry in partnership with the ONIE Project will be hosting an educational packed summit for local ag. The Oklahoma Local Agriculture Summit, formerly called the Oklahoma Farmers Market and Agritourism Conference, is taking place February 28 - March 1st at the Edmond Conference Center. The summit’s focus is to continue the momentum for local food in Oklahoma. By providing a summit that strengthens local food systems, farmers markets, and agritourism sites through resources, education, and networking opportunities.

February 28 will kick off the summit with in-depth workshops, including marketing workshops, hands-on growing demonstrations, business development consulting, and industry meetings. Wednesday's lunch will be provided by Langston University. On February 29, over 20 breakout sessions will be provided covering topics for growers, market managers, agritourism sites, and support organizations. With a keynote lunch featuring Courtenay DeHoff sharing about Storytelling in Agriculture: Develop a Voice That Shifts Narratives. On March 1st, participants can choose to attend one bus tour showcasing 4 agritourism sites or an Innovative Farm Tour, where we will visit 4 innovative farms in Central Oklahoma.

Registration is required for all events. Lunch is included on February 29.
