Martin Bionics

Martin Bionics Restoring comfort, independence, and hope for a better life. We make comfortable sockets accessible for those who otherwise don't have access.

Our Story:
Founder Jay Martin, CP, FAAOP was invited by NASA to help create an Ironman exoskeleton suit for space and military applications. Through working with NASA he discovered and created counter-intuitive new methods of how to make prosthetics more comfortable. He then set out to create the most comfortable sockets on earth… and the Socket-less Socket™ was born. Now thousands of amputees around the world are able to gain quality of life back through more comfortable sockets. From the 30 million amputees in developing nations without access to any prosthetics to the 2 million amputees in the U.S. struggling with uncomfortable rigid sockets, our technology uniquely makes a comfortable socket reachable for all. Our Mission is to replace the antiquated rigid socket status quo and make conforming and comfortable prosthetic sockets reachable to all amputees around the world. 95% of amputees (30 million) in developing nations do not have access to prosthetics due to a lack of practitioners and expensive fabrication equipment needed to make conventional rigid sockets. The few that do typically get a 1970's-era hard socket, which is or will become uncomfortable, limiting mobility. Our modular Socket-less Socket™ uniquely offers the same comfort for those in developing nations as the fortunate who have medical coverage for our state-of-the-art prosthetics locally.

‼️ATTENTION‼️, Martin Bionics patients:
Show us your Martin Bionics socket and get a great gift!

At Martin Bionics, we know that every patient has a story as unique as them, and we believe the impact our organization makes is best shared from our patients' perspective. That’s why we’re asking our amazing patients to show us how their Martin Bionics Sockets impact their daily life.

To do this, we are asking YOU to submit videos for a chance to be featured on our website and social channels. The ideal video will feature you, the wearer, talking about your socket and showing it in action! Whether it’s your daily routine, favorite activities, or improvements from your amputation journey (such as improved mobility), we want to see it! 🦿💙

Submissions will receive LIMITED EDITION Martin Bionic apparel, and the best submission will be selected for a Special Grand Prize!

We encourage you to have fun and get creative showing your socket in motion. Here are some suggestions to make your video shine:

Video content suggestions:
-Having a friend or loved one film you participating in a favorite activity or hobby
-Walking us through a day in your life
-Sharing why you love your socket!
-Sharing your prosthetic journey
-Demonstrating putting on and taking off your socket
-Adjusting your ratchet straps (if applicable)

Video tips:
For the best video quality, we recommend holding the phone vertically when filming in a well-lit space with minimal noise. When possible, please include your full body in the frame so the prosthesis/socket can be clearly seen.

IMPORTANT: You can submit multiple videos, but each video must be shorter than a minute to upload properly.

Submit your video here at this link:

If you experience any issues please reach out to marketing@martinbionics.com.

Bonus: Post your video on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok and tag us so we can reshare your story!

By submitting your video, you grant Martin Bionics permission to use, edit, and share the submitted video content for marketing and promotional purposes across social media, websites, and advertising.
