I want to tell you a true story.
One that sat heavy with me for weeks.

I’m Jessica.
Owner of Balanced Muscle Therapy.
A women-only wellness center here in Tulsa.
And I’m also a mom of three girls.

What I do matters.
Deeply.

Therapeutic massage.
Medical massage.
Lymphatic work.

This isn’t “spa day” work.
This is relief.
Healing.
Quality of life.

About a month ago, I took my girls to an event—
something they’d been excited about for weeks.

I thought I had plenty of time to make my afternoon appointment.
But just in case…
I moved my client back an hour.

The event went WAY longer than expected.

And suddenly, I was stuck.

Do I leave early
and disappoint my kids?

Or do I cancel on my client—
a woman coming in for her very first massage?

Both mattered.
Both were important.

But in that moment, I chose my girls.

I reached out.
I rescheduled.
And I didn’t charge her.

Not out of obligation.
But out of respect.
And gratitude for her understanding.

Today, she came in.

We connected instantly.
The session flowed.
Her body softened.
Her nervous system exhaled.

And I could tell—
she felt truly cared for.

She showed grace.
Kindness.
Humanity.

And it reminded me of something we all forget:

YOU matter.

Your health matters.
Your family matters.
Your well-being matters.

Work is important.
Very important.

But your body?
Your peace?
Your people?

They come first.
Always.

It’s okay to make hard choices.
It’s okay to choose yourself sometimes.
It’s okay to prioritize your family and your well-being.

New year. Same woman. Bigger vision.

Three kids.
Two businesses.
One body that still shows up—every single day.

I don’t wait for motivation.

Between school drop-offs and late nights, I’m building something real.

A 3rd Kup Red Stripe in ITF Taekwon-Do—still a student, always growing.

I teach classes 6 days a week in Broken Arrow at ITFA Taekwon-Do.
I work hands-on 6 days a week with women at my private studio in South Tulsa – Balanced Muscle Therapy.

Being a solopreneur is hard.
Some days are exhausting.
But seeing the smiles, the relief, the confidence come back?
That part never gets old.

This year isn’t about doing more.
