Empowerment is key. 🥰🩵
Normalize toddlers with speech delay.
Normalize the child who understands things but just can’t get the words out yet.
The one who points, signs, hums, cries, or melts down because their thoughts are bigger than their mouth.
Normalize early intervention.
Normalize speech therapy.
Normalize parents who advocate instead of “waiting it out.”
A speech delay is not a parenting failure.
It’s not laziness.
It’s not something caused by screen time, or “not talking enough.”
Some kids walk later.
Some kids talk later.
And some kids are still learning how to find their voice.
Stop comparing toddlers.
Stop labeling them as “behind.”
Stop acting like milestones are a race.
They are not broken.
They are not less intelligent.
They are not doomed.
They’re learning.
They’re growing.
And they deserve patience, support, and respect, not judgment.
Normalize meeting kids where they are.
