Today, team members and a few spirited residents dressed up and paraded through every Evergreen neighborhood. There was music playing, lots of laughing, and plenty of waving as we made our way down the halls.

Moments like these remind us how much joy can be found in simple celebrations. Our hearts are full. 🧡

Today we celebrate Nora as she retires after 18 years of devoted service at Evergreen Community.

Nora is always willing to help wherever needed, and her hard work has made Evergreen a better place for the residents and the team around her. We will especially miss her amazing snacks and creative treats that always brought smiles.

We shared this earlier in the week, but we don’t want anyone to miss out on the fun. Trick-or-treating at Evergreen is happening tomorrow from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.

Bring your costumed kiddos for a safe indoor trick-or-treat adventure through our neighborhoods. The residents are super excited to see them! Don’t forget a bag or bucket to collect treats! 🍬🎃

We’re excited to welcome little trick-or-treaters this Friday, Halloween Day, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. You’re invited to bring your costumed kiddos for a safe indoor trick-or-treat adventure through Evergreen’s neighborhoods — candy, smiles, and plenty of Halloween fun!

Just don’t forget a candy bag or pumpkin bucket to fill! 🍬🎃

🌿 Big news to celebrate! 🌿

Evergreen Community has once again been recognized by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) as a PEAK Mentor Home for excellence in person-centered care.

This is our 15th time receiving this honor and our 13th year in a row. Since the PEAK program was restructured in 2012, Evergreen has been recognized every year for our commitment to person-centered care. Evergreen is the only nursing home in Kansas that has maintained top-level Mentor Home status each year since the program was restructured, a reflection of the dedication of our team.

This reflects our core values that guide our work every day:

✨ Elegant Evening at Evergreen ✨
Earlier this month, while the weather was absolutely beautiful, we gathered in the courtyard for our annual Elegant Evening. Friends and family joined the residents to enjoy hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and live music in the Evergreen courtyard. 💚

A big thank-you to our wonderful volunteers for helping with hair and makeup, and to our talented kitchen team for preparing the delicious food and drinks that made the evening even more special. And thank you to Luca Dawson for capturing these beautiful photos.

This was our last Elegant Evening at our current campus, and it was truly one to remember. Next year, we’ll celebrate this tradition in the courtyard at our new Evergreen campus! 🌿

🍬 Final Call — Help Feed Frankie! 🍬
Halloween is almost here, and our friendly Frankenstein in the Evergreen lobby is still a little hungry! 🧟‍♂️

We’re so close to having enough candy for all the trick-or-treaters visiting Evergreen, but we need a final boost to make sure every little ghost, and superhero goes home with sweets. 🎃✨

If you’d like to donate, just drop candy in Frankie’s container in the lobby through Wednesday, October 30.

Thank you for helping make Halloween extra fun for the children and for the people who live at Evergreen. 💚
