In this week's gentle meditation, Debra guides us to create a safe space for ourselves. By giving ourselves grace, we make way to release some deep emotional energy that keeps us from experiencing deep joy. So many of us are unwittingly our own worst critics, allowing the self-recriminations far more space in our thoughts than we realize. Debra introduces us to a process where we can look deeper than "what happened" to the messages we give ourselves as a result. She has found that the 'after thoughts' can create more harm than life's trials. The solution is two-fold: to become aware of the internal criticism while concurrently finding much to love and appreciate about ourselves.
