What a way to finish our Founders Week of Fun but with an outdoor cookout. Yes I said outside, finally the weather helped us out anew had beautiful weather. Everyone was having such a great time eating and then had some time with the Hatchet Throwing. Couldn’t have been better.

Annual Corn Hole Tournament today. 15 Teams came together to try their best to get the best score, but mostly just have fun. Lots it’s of scoring and the laughter came naturally. As always a huge success. Thanks to all players and helpers.

Our Volunteer Reception was a great success today. Everyone was given a certificate and a gift bag for their service with Aberdeen Village. Becky Kim was chosen as our Volunteer of the Year. She was very surprised. Congratulations to Becky and Thanks to all of our Volunteers.

‘Ole Betsy held up well today. The Independent residents was showing off a little with their milking skills. In the end Sharon won the Udder Cup for the Best Milker in Independent this afternoon. ‘Ole Betsy went to the barn willingly for a good nights sleep. Tomorrow is Volunteer Appreciation Day.

First round of ‘Ole Betsy was this morning and everyone had a great time as you can see. Carol won our Udder Cup for the best Milker of the morning !! We will see what happens this afternoon. The word is out that ‘Ole Betsy is out and about.

This drawing by Carol Rondinelli of Olathe, Kan. is a stunning work of art from a talented artist who studied art for 45 years, has written 30 art instruction books, and has taught art for several senior centers, art camps and PMMA’s Aberdeen Village.
