🌞 Spring Forward this Sunday, March 8th! 🌞
Hey friends and families — don't forget to set your clocks ahead one hour before bed Saturday night! At 2 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, we "spring forward" to Daylight Saving Time here in New Jersey and across most of the U.S. ☀️
At Reformed Church Home, we know how even a small time shift can feel bigger for our loved ones. Losing that hour of sleep can sometimes lead to extra tiredness, a bit of confusion with routines, or challenges staying on track with meals and meds—especially for seniors whose internal clocks are a little more set in their ways. ❤️
Our dedicated team is always here to help ease those adjustments:

Gentle reminders and support to keep daily schedules smooth
Extra patience and care during the transition
Plenty of light-filled activities to enjoy those longer evenings ahead!

This week, our amazing residents joined in on the Olympic fun with a series of exciting games that brought out their competitive spirit and lots of laughter! From friendly races to hilarious relays, we embraced the joy of teamwork and camaraderie. 🏃‍♂️🤸‍♀️

Watching everyone cheer each other on truly highlighted the vibrant spirit of our community. We’re so proud to celebrate not only the Olympics but also the wonderful bonds we share here at Reformed Church Home! 🌟💕

💙 Today is National Rare Disease Day — February 28, 2026 💙
At Reformed Church Home, we pause with compassion and solidarity to honor those living with rare diseases — and the families, caregivers, and professionals who walk beside them every step of the way.

Rare diseases may affect only a small number of individuals — but the impact is profound, personal, and deeply human. These conditions can bring uncertainty, challenge, and moments of exhaustion… yet they also reveal courage, resilience, and love in its purest forms. ✨

February is American Heart Month 💙❤️, and at Reformed Church Home, we're big believers in taking care of the heart—in every sense!
While our amazing team works tirelessly to keep residents' hearts beating strong with compassionate assisted living, skilled nursing, top-notch rehab, and that warm, home-like feeling right here in Old Bridge, NJ, we also want to remind everyone (residents, families, and friends alike) to give your own heart some extra TLC this month.
A few heart-smart tips from folks who know a thing or two about long, joyful lives:

Walk those hallways (or our beautiful grounds) a little more—bonus points if you wave at a neighbor!
Choose love over stress (easier said than done, but we're rooting for you!)
And yes, maybe save a little room for dessert... life's too short not to enjoy it with the people you love.

The room was filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of fun as everyone put their special touches on their masks.
