“Grief triggers” are reminders—often unexpected—of those we've lost. These triggers can be anything from a memory, a birthday, or even seeing someone in a crowd who resembles your loved one. Although grief triggers can provoke anxiety, facing them rather than avoiding them can aid in your healing process.

Join us as we gather for a special evening of remembrance at our 26th Annual Memorial Service & Tree Lighting Ceremony.

📅 Monday, December 1, and Tuesday, December 2, 2025
🕖 7:00 PM each evening
📍 The Historic Old Bermuda Inn
301 Veterans Road West, Staten Island, NY 10309

Each December, we come together to honor the memory of loved ones who continue to live on in our hearts. Families are invited to bring a small, non-breakable ornament for their loved one to be placed on our memorial trees, a lasting symbol of love, hope, and remembrance.

The service will be livestreamed on Monday, December 1, and available for viewing on our website the following day.

We hope you’ll join us for this beautiful tradition of reflection, light, and togetherness hosted by The John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals.
