Last night, while snow blanketed our town and most of us were tucked safely inside, the members of the Old Forge Volunteer Ambulance were gathered together not for a call, but for something just as important.
Our crew spent the evening training on our newest piece of life-saving equipment: the AutoPulse NXT.
This advanced automated CPR device will soon be on board the Old Forge ambulance, delivering consistent, high-quality chest compressions during cardiac emergencies. Our volunteers spent the evening sharpening their skills, learning every detail, and preparing themselves to use this device with confidence when someone’s life depends on it. That’s the heart of our volunteers.
While the snow fell outside, inside there was teamwork, focus, and a shared commitment to our community. Because when the call comes, no matter the weather they will be ready.
Old Forge is fortunate to have volunteers who continuously train, adapt, and invest in the best tools available to protect our neighbors, families, and visitors.
This is more than new equipment.
It’s preparation.
It’s dedication.
It’s neighbors helping neighbors. 🚑
