WE'VE GOT HUGE NEWS!!

2026 is right around the corner, and with it will come some huge changes at Old Tappan Pediatrics!

First and foremost, come January 1st, 2026, we’ll be saying goodbye to our beloved Dr. Hages. After decades of caring for the children of our community, he’s going to be retiring. We’re all quite sad, but very happy for him. We’ll be creating certain outlets on social media for patients and families to wish him well and thank him for all that he’s done.

That’s not all though, so hold on to your hats ladies and gentlemen! Rather than heading into the unknown looking for replacement doctors, we’ve decided to merge practices with our neighboring fellow BCD Health Partners group. On January 1st, Old Tappan Pediatrics will be closing its doors and merging with Westwood’s Broadway Pediatrics to create something new and exciting- Harmony Pediatrics. Drs. Schwartz and Munteanu in Westwood have been practicing great medicine for years for patients in our area, so this merger seems like the perfect opportunity to adapt, while continuing to ensure that we’re providing the best care.

We know many of you have experienced mergers in the past, but this one is different in the ways that matter most to you:

• Same doctors, same staff, and same billing
• Same insurance providers
• Same personalized care
• Same charting system so your records will remain secure.

The transition will be smooth, and we are committed to making sure you feel supported every step of the way. Old Tappan office will be closing, and our Old Tappan docs and staff will be moving three miles away to 336 Center Avenue, Westwood (It’s a great location! You’ll now have five different ice cream store options after shots!). Our Bergenfield office, which will also be part of Harmony Pediatrics, will not be moving, and will continue with the same hours.

If you’re not the biggest fan of change, you’ll be able to continue seeing Drs. DeAngelo, Rothenberg and Fishkind just as before, but in a different office, and with some expanded hours and availability. Those more adventurous can get to know Drs. Schwartz and Munteanu and eventually love them as we do.
We’re so excited to bring our practices together, ensuring that you continue to receive the same high-quality, compassionate care you’ve come to expect.

Feel free to contact the office with questions. When it’s time for 2026 appointments, we’ll be booking them to be seen in our Westwood office.

We’re thrilled to share that Broadway Pediatrics in Westwood and Old Tappan Pediatrics in Old Tappan and Bergenfield are coming together to create something new and exciting—Harmony Pediatrics.

This merger is built on collaboration and a shared commitment to the highest standard of care. By uniting as two small, independent practices, we can better navigate today’s healthcare challenges while continuing to provide the values, compassion, and personalized attention you trust.

For our Broadway families, this merger brings three new doctors: Dr. DeAngelo, Dr. Fishkind, and Dr. Rothenberg, who are wonderful additions that many of you may have already met. Along with Dr. Schwartz and Dr. Munteanu, they bring expanded access and a unified commitment to your child’s health.

Our flu shots are in! Our first flu clinic day will be next Tuesday 9/23/25. Call and get your appointment! Otherwise, we'll be having a weekend clinic in the near future, or you can schedule an appointment for a vaccine during most of our open office hours. Call and get vaccinated now (flu season is right around the corner!).
