What is Sports Vision Training?

Sports vision training, a subtype of optometric vision therapy, works on enhancing an athlete's vision abilities to take their game to the next level. Members of COVD create individualized training plans on a sport-specific basis to build visual skills, custom-tailored to each athlete and sport.

COVD thanks Larry Fitzgerald of the Arizona Cardinals, 2017 NFL Man of the Year, for helping us promote our August is Vision and Learning Month campaign by sharing the message that:

"The public doesn’t realize that you need 17 visual skills to succeed in reading, learning, sports, and in life. Seeing ‘20/20’ is just one of those visual skills."

As we deal with the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, our office wants to do our part to keep our patients, staff, and doctors safe. We are continuing our normal disinfection procedures and will be taking extra care to keep the office clean. We ask that our patients help us by doing a few simple things. Our office hours and patient schedules will remain normal at this time. Call our office with any questions.

1. Keep your hands clean and wash your hands often. We will have hand sanitizer for you to use when you come into the office to help reduce the risk of bringing germs into the office.

2. When you are finished with a pen, let our staff know so that it can be disinfected it before reuse.

3. If you or a family member are sick, or have symptoms of the COVID-19, please stay home and get well soon. Call our office to reschedule your appointment.

4. Call our office if you have any question. If anything changes, we will let our patients know.
