People question your pace when they don’t understand your purpose.
I know what I’m building, why it matters, and who it’s for.

So no, there is no backup plan.
Just clarity, consistency, and a vision I show up for even when it’s inconvenient.
If you’re building something of your own… go get it.

If you have kids or work with kids, tune in.

This hit me hard… as a parent and a pediatric SLP.
➡️ Kids do their best when they feel connected, supported, and safe enough to try.

🫙 marble jar nails it:
Every moment of warmth, consistency, and follow-through is a marble.
That jar becomes trust.🔗
And trust is what makes kids brave enough to communicate, take risks, learn, and actually grow.

So if progress feels stuck…
If your child seems to be struggling…
If you’re seeing “avoidance” or shutdowns…

☝🏼Check the jar first
Fill it. Protect it.
Prioritize connection over everything else.
Over the program you bought.
Over the strategy you’re trying.
Over the tips and tricks the people you see online.

Those tools help, but they work best when the jar is full.

Most parents don’t realize that school speech therapy and private speech therapy are not the same thing. They also don't realize you can have access to BOTH!

School speech therapy helps your child participate in the classroom with things like following directions, engaging in lessons, connecting with peers.

Private speech therapy helps your child communicate in real life... at home, during play, with family, during routines, and in the moments that matter to your daily life.

🎉 Meet Jaycie — Our Newest SLP!
I am so excited to officially welcome Jaycie to the Magro Speech Therapy team! And I’m filled with gratitude for having the possibility to grow and serve more families!

Not only is Jaycie passionate about helping kids build connection, communication, and confidence through play, but she also brings nonstop positivity and kindness wherever she goes! ✨

A few of my favorite things about her:

🐧 Considered having a penguin es**rt her down the aisle at a zoo wedding 😂
💬 Jumps right in, the kids already love her!

Sensory -friendly, with no sudden noises, flashing lights, or scary decorations, plus our new cozy Calm Corner for when ghouls need a break! Our accessible space features wide, clear walkways and good lighting, and we'll have non-food treats alongside games and activities so every child can enjoy.
