At PHC, we proudly recognize the millions of individuals and families touched by Alzheimerβs disease and other dementia-related conditions. This month is a time to raise awareness, provide support, and shine a light on the caregiving journey.
π Important Facts
β’ Alzheimerβs is a progressive brain disease and is not a normal part of aging.
β’ In the U.S., approximately 6.5 million people age 65 and older have Alzheimerβs dementia.
β’ There are more than 11 million caregivers in the U.S. providing help to loved ones with Alzheimerβs or other dementias.
β’ Since it was first declared in 1983 by Ronald Reagan, November has served as National Alzheimerβs Disease Awareness Month.
